Rittenhouse Square is one of Philly's most beloved parks.  The seven acre park is bounded on four sides by hotels, restaurants, shops, apartments, and boutiques.  Activity abounds day and night:  families, couples, dog's and their walkers, office workers, residents, and tourists.

Originially one for William Penn's four original parks for Philadelphia, Rittenhouse Square has always been much used and well loved park - even in to the late hours of the night.  The parks has achieved what park managers in other cities can only dream of:  an equitable, twenty-four hour vibrant public space.

The park is maintain through a public-private partnership between Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Rittenhouse Square.
